The Hi road

The Hi Lo Trons opened for buzz band Clap Yours Hands Say Yeah at Zaphod's. As they often do they left some audience members with a better impression than the headliners. I always compare them to XTC, but have just listened to some of the famed Brit band's BBC sessions I can hear that I may be over-playing the resemblance. Four of The Hi Lo Trons can be seen just below (Mike Dubue, Paul Hogan and Phil Bova in The Empiricals, Damian Sawka in Jake Lovetart) so we'll start off with the one member who isn't in those two bands, Jordy Walker. Fair, innit?

Jordy had a guitar up on a stand he would loop vibrato noises off occasionally.

Mike Dubue in lights.

Damian, somewhat cleaner than the night before.

Paul Hogan picks and grins.

Some more percussion from Jordy with Paul and Mike.

I've had better nights, photographically speaking, but they were really good.
