Back from the basement

It's been little more than a month since I last saw Four'n'Giv'r (at the Birdman Sound festive show, natch). They had just received copies of Psychle, their debut CD. This show at The Dominion was the official release, with Music for Cats supremo Karen McLaine in attendance. The trio even stayed away from the booze, long underwear and other naughty substances to make this an extra-special performance.

Bob Whitmore howls!

Birdman Sound proprietor and drummer John Westhaver whacks away.

Mark McIntyre shows off his moves!

Bob frets! (Hmm ... looks like an open C.)

Mark shows off some other moves!

Working the feedback.

Faceoff action!

CKCU banner action!

And en masse (plus larger if you like).

They've never sounded better. In fact, they sounded almost as good as Gerri Halliwell. They were also a lot more active than the photos suggest. The band is already recording a follow-up, and had a limited edition two-song EP (mine's No. 16 of 25) with a cover of The Gories' Sovereignty Flight and an instrumental tribute to Doug Sahm for sale at the show.
