Que Pasa?

The Brothers Chaffey put on a fine opening set for Trevor Alguire at The Bayou two Fridays ago. They laced their fine originals with covers from artists like Doug Sahm ("Kind of a hero of ours," observed brother Matt), Butch Hancock and Jimmy Vaughn, whose Boom Boppa Boom they finished with.

This was my first time in The Bayou; I took a bunch of low-light photos because I was intrigued by the illuminated dancefloor.

Here's a somewhat better picture of Matt and Curtis.

More lowlight!

More Matt!

And more Curtis.

They got a lot of mileage out of a 12-string and a Telecaster.
  • Show reminder: Muffler Crunch and some other folks will perform at Club SAW, weather permitting; James McKenty & The Spades play a free show at Mavericks Bar. Golden Bulldozer, Jetplanes of Abraham, Grampapunk, Eastborough and En Garde perform at Zaphod's.
