Flight east

Ladyhawk doesn't just share sonic similarities with their East Coast companions in Shotgun Jimmie and Attack In Black; there's a bit of a connection through Jagjaguwar, who released their first album and is of course connected to the Sackville crowd via Julie Doiron.

I think Duffy Driediger's voice may be the main attraction for me.

Sean Hawryluk sings in hair-o-phonic sound.

Darcy Hancock kicks things up a bit.

Lady action!

Standing on a riser action!

And a bit of black and white.

For the band's finale they switched things around a bit, with Ryan Peters playing guitar and Duffy headed into the audience for a crooning number.

They're back west now, and slated to play a Boxing Day show in Kelowna.
