Get back!

Some bands list their influences and make you wonder if either their or your ears must be going. This is definitely not the case for The Retreat who, for better or for worse, do sound like they listen to a lot of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots and Guess Who. They played their first show in June this year and things seem to be coming along nicely.

Curt Jones sings, while Pawel Szaryk handles the low end.

They've got a lot of potential.
  • Show reminder: It's gig No. 1 for Johnny from the Million Dollar Marxists and Van Johnson's Dave Secretary as Big Dick and Chandeliers; which is apparently Scott Terry and some other Fucking Machines plus Davey Quesnelle. Dan Somerville is at the Rainbow. Haligonian bluegrass sensations Smokin' Contra Band play the Elmdale House.
