The not quite littlest hobo

There's something very British about Charlie Winston, namely that he's trying to sound very American: lots of soul and folk and blues in the mix, filtered via Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. He's from a music family. Parents Geoff and Julie Glove were something in the folk music scene of the 1960s, big brother Tom Baxter has done quite well for himself and sister Vashti is also making a try. For some reason he's huge in France. He's an energetic stage performer, and quite engaging.

Charlie strums!

Bassist Daniela Marsala does look a bit like he waked in from another band.
