Right in the guts

The night after catching The Real McKenzies, Valveenus and four-stroke downstairs at Mavericks, I was upstairs at Cafe DeKcuf seeing an even louder collection of bands, as Alaskan, KEN Mode, Black Faxes and Spilt Guts augured out everyone's ears. Spilt Guts were first up, with a sound that was heavily in the hardcore corner. Phil - lead guitar, Evan - Bass, Elgar - Drums,

Singer Thomas can also be seen in The Mudplots.

Spilt Guts

Phil on guitar.

Spilt Guts

Evan plays the bass, while a shadowy Elgar mans the traps.

Spilt Guts

The whole spilt lot!

Spilt Guts

The shouty bit!

Spilt Guts

Evan sings!

Spilt Guts

Phil goes green.

Spilt Guts

Elgar hits!

Spilt Guts

Gutsy action!

Spilt Guts

More Phil!

Spilt Guts

More shouting!

Spilt Guts

More Evan!

Spilt Guts

And so on!

Spilt Guts

I think Elgar may be enjoying himself too much.

Spilt Guts

The end!

Spilt Guts

I don't know what they're up to next, but Rouffa Therrien shot some video of the show.
