Bluesfest: Cage The Elephant

It was a late night last night, so here's a (very) short post this today, featuring Cage The Elephant. They put on one of the most raved-about sets at Bluesfest this year, and frontman Matthew Shultz's front-to-back crowdsurfing stunt was remarked upon by many. Unfortunately I missed it because I wandered off to see Blue King Brown. Oh well!

Matthew and guitarist Lincoln Parish.

Matthew works the microphone; Jared Champion mans the kit.

Finally, guitarist No. 2 Brad Shultz and bassist Daniel Tichenor.

And, er, that's it! They're apparently working on material for album No. 3 right now.
  • Show reminder: Birthday Boys and Indian Handcrafts play Cafe Dekcuf; downtairs at Mavericks you'll find Ra Ra Riot and Dinosaur Bones; Jonathan Richman is at Zaphod's; Adam & The Amethysts unleash their new album at Raw Sugar; it's night No. 2 for MonkeyJunk at Irene's; the Elmdale hosts Rocket Rached & The Fat City 8. Wise, Young & King, The Glorious Moonrockets and The BoneDevil rock the Clocktower's basement.
