Bluesfest: Rich Aucoin

Once Nozuka had wrapped things up I toddled over to the main stage to catch some of Rich Aucoin. Aucoin is a frequent visitor to the nation's capital, and has an enthusiastic following for his wild club shows. It's a little bit different in the light of day ...

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3 ...

Of course he had shoutouts to local scenesters - part of his regular thang. This one is likely true!

Not to the drummer, who I believe is Joel Waddell (shoot me a line if I'm wrong).

Fun, but I headed off to see Callers, who I'd heard good things about.
  • Show reminder: Olenka & the Autumn Lovers and Musk Ox perform at the Mercury Lounge; weather permitting, The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol throw down outside the National Gallery. The Walkouts, Pop & The Standards and James Drolet perform at the Elmdale House.
