Bluesfest: Wanda Jackson

The final show of the night for me was Wanda Jackson. Black Keys were scheduled to perform on the main stage and Hey Rosetta! were making some noise at the Hard Rock Stage, but I've already seen the former twice and the latter will likely come through town. As mentioned earlier, things started off well, but a nasty squall arrived and dumped a bunch of cold rain on the crowd. Good thing I brought my umbrella, but most of the crowd was force to split. Fortunately the rain ended in time for Jackson to reappear and perform a decent chunk of her set with the Hi-Dollar Band.

I don't really no who anyone is ...

Same old story ...

But here's Wanda!

And here's some Bluesfest staffers mopping a stage. Darn rain.

And we're back, in black and white no less.

This shadowy figure is Hi-Dollars headman Heath Haynes.

More Wanda!

Things definitely look better in colour for this gig, though.

The bassist looks good in black and white, though.

This one's not bad either.

Fringed action!

Rocking action!

The whole lot, if you don't count the keyboardist!

She's keeping busy with more tour in the southern U.S. and some European action.
  • Show reminder: Normann and Soul In Stone perform at The Rainbow; the Elmdale hosts Jadea Kelly.
