Rome when in

The night at Club SAW ended up switching from greasy rock to 1980s-flavoured indie music of the synth-loving variety, but sans the cheese and with more guitars with a performance from Montreal's Rome Romeo. Sorry for those expecting something like Greg Sage's legendary Wipers, the band actually has its roots in punk rockers Fifth Hour Hero and strike me as a group that would be more at home on a bill with Lioness.

Here we go, with striking singer Genevieve Tremblay.

Bass and bending action!

The current lineup also features Olivier Maguire, Patrick-Paul Michon, Kevin Robitaille, Gabriel Tremblay and Pascal Turcotte, but it's a little hard to tell who does what since most of them do everything.

At least I feel prety certain this is Turcotte on the right.

They're an active lot.

Definitely worth catching; no word on what they're up to now.
