This space is the place

If I spend much more time at Pressed I'm going to have to apply for a job in the kitchen ... last night's show was by local psychedelic collective The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol, sounding very krautrock, with a short opening set by David Jackson.

The last time Jackson was on the blog he was playing guitar in The Fucking Machines. He's still playing guitar, but in a more ambient mode, and sounding more like Flying Saucer Attack, Roy Montgomery or Azusa Plane.

On to The Band Whose Name Is A symbol. They've just released their seventh limited edition LP, Scrappy Little Jaw, and were rocking pretty hard last night.

They put me in mind of Amon Duul.
